The idea of karma has become quite familiar to us in the West, and can help make sense of our experiences in a general way. This course will explore how we can begin to take control of the direction our lives take, and to leave behind attitudes and habits that can cause us so many problems.
Buddhism has a specific take on the topic: it highlights that our lives have an ethical dimension not usually recognised in the every day understanding. Certain of our actions are ethically important and impact on our future. Similarly, some experiences now are the results of the ethically important decisions we made in the past.
